Int'l Rectifier to tighten financial oversight
LOS ANGELES, Oct 2 (Reuters) - International Rectifier Corp (IRF.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Tuesday it made changes to improve financial oversight at the power management technology provider amid an ongoing accounting probe.
The company appointed Jack Vance lead independent director and said it shifted reporting of internal audit function to the general counsel and the board's audit committee.
Among other things, the company also said it changed its reporting relationship at its Japan subsidiary, where independent investigators hired by the board's audit committee discovered accounting irregularities.
Earlier in the day, the company announced the resignation of Chief Executive Alex Lidow, who had been on leave pending the resolution of the accounting investigation. (Reporting by Lisa Baertlein, editing by Braden Redddall)
