Coldwater Creek names new CEO

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Women's apparel retailer Coldwater Creek Inc (CWTR.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Wednesday that Daniel Griesemer, president and chief operating officer, was named president and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 30.

Griesemer will succeed Dennis Pence, co-founder, chairman and chief executive, who will retire as CEO. Pence will continue as chairman of the board.

Griesemer also was appointed to the board of directors. (Reporting by Leonard Anderson)
