CORRECTED - Verizon CEO says sales momentum has not slowed
(Corrects quote in second paragraph to say "wireline," not "wireless")
BOSTON, March 27 (Reuters) - Verizon Communications Inc (VZ.N: Quote, Profile, Research) Chief Executive Ivan Seidenberg said on Thursday that his company's sales momentum has not slowed, even with the weakening U.S. economy.
Seidenberg said the telecommunications company's consumer businesses had not slowed because "customers love the new technology, whether it is wireline or Internet or wireless."
"On the business side, nothing has slowed down yet. That doesn't suggest it won't. But so far, no metrics we look suggest ... any shift or change in our momentum," Seidenberg told reporters after a lunch sponsored by the Chief Executives' Club of Boston. (Reporting by Jim Finkle)
