Nov 26 (Reuters) - Pharmaceutical company Akorn Inc (AKRX.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved a supplemental biologics license application for a unit dose, preservative-free tetanus diphtheria vaccine.

Akorn, which has been marketing a multi-dose preserved version of the tetanus diphtheria vaccine since September, expects to launch the new vaccine in the first quarter of 2008, the company said. (Reporting by John Tilak in Bangalore; Editing by Jarshad Kakkrakandy)
