Mylan gets FDA OK to market Levothyroxine sodium tablets
Jan 3 (Reuters) - Mylan Laboratories Inc. (MYL.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), a maker of generic drugs, said it received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval to market Levothyroxine sodium tablets as a bioequivalent to Levothroid tablets, which treats deficiency of thyroid activity.
Mylan said in a statement that Levothyroxine sodium tablets are approved to treat hypothyroidism and pituitary TSH suppression. (Reporting by Dilipp S. Nag in Bangalore)
