MOVES-Credit Suisse names co-heads of MENA Investment Banking

DUBAI, July 10 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse CSGN.VX appointed two co-heads for its investment banking operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to replace Jeffrey Culpepper, the Swiss group said on Sunday.

Bassam Yammine and Saad Benani will jointly head the unit while Culpepper will become a senior advisor to the bank, according to an emailed statement.

Culpepper joined Credit Suisse in 2008 from Merrill Lynch & Co where he was head of global markets and investment banking for MENA.

Yammine continues in his role as co-chief executive and head of investment banking and asset management in the MENA region.

Ahmed Barakat, who headed Credit Suisse’s representative office in Abu Dhabi, will leave the bank, the group said.

In May, Credit Suisse appointed Mumtaz Kazmi as head of its mergers and acquisitions operations in the Middle East and North Africa, a document showed. [ID:nLDE74H0OW]
