NEW YORK (Reuters) - Anadarko Petroleum Corp said on Monday it expects to evacuate nonessential workers from the Gulf of Mexico through Tuesday in advance of Hurricane Ike, and stands ready to pull the rest of its offshore workers and shut in production if needed.

The company added in a press release that it had restored production at its Boomvang, Gunnison, Nansen, Constitution and Marco Polo platforms in the wake of last week's Hurricane Gustav, but that production remained shut in at its Independence Hub and Neptune facilities.
