HOUSTON (Reuters) - At least four workers were injured in a Monday explosion and fire at Silver Eagle Refining Inc's 10,500 barrel per day refinery in Woods Cross, Utah, according reports by Salt Lake City television and newspaper websites.

Residents within a half-mile of the refinery were evacuated following the explosion at about 5:30 p.m. Mountain Time (0030 Tuesday GMT), according to the reports, some of which said five workers had been injured.

The Silver Eagle refinery produces naphtha, diesel and reformates.

The refinery is located about 8 miles north of Salt Lake City.
