Oct 20 (Reuters) - Nu Skin Enterprises Inc (NUS.N) forecast third-quarter earnings ahead of Street estimates, helped by improving operating margins.

Nu Skin, which sells personal-care products under its namesake, Epoch and Nutricentials brands, expects to earn 39 cents a share to 40 cents a share in the third quarter, including 1 cent in restructuring charges.

The company, which reports results for the quarter on Oct. 29, said revenue grew 8 percent to $334.2 million.

Local currency revenue growth accelerated to 7 percent, boosted by continued sales trend improvements in Japan and double-digit growth in Southeast Asia, South Korea, mainland China, Europe and Latin America, Nu Skin said in a statement.

The company's North American business grew 7 percent.

Analysts on average were expecting the company to earn 34 cents, before items, on revenue of $315.1 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

For the full year, the company expects to earn $1.25 to $1.27 a share, including a restructuring charge of about 13 cents.
