 BERLIN- Presumptive U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Barack
Obama visits Berlin and is scheduled to meet Chancellor Angela
Merkel (0900) and Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Obama to deliver a speech on transatlantic relations (1700).-

 BAYREUTH, Germany- Annual Bayreuth festival of classical music
and opera. -
 
 SATURDAY, AUGUST 2
 TEHRAN- Deadline by which Iran must answer calls to rein in its
nuclear activities or face further sanctions. EU foreign policy
chief Javier Solana and envoys from from Britain, France,
Germany, Russian, China and the United states met with Iran's
chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili on Saturday July 19 and
requested Iran to reply within two-weeks on its offer of
nuclear, trade and other incentives to help halt it's sensitive
nuclear activities.-
