LIMA, May 10 (Reuters) - Peru's March trade surplus widened to $665 million compared with $455 million in the year-ago period, the central bank reported on Thursday, citing higher prices for raw materials exports.

The value of exports in March was $2.1 billion, while imports were $1.4 billion.

Peru's trade surplus hit a record $8.85 billion last year and the economy grew more than 8 percent thanks in part to mineral exports.
