(Adds official details throughout)
BOGOTA, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Colombia's tax receipts grew 14.3 percent to $30.4 billion in 2007 compared with a year earlier, driven by the Andean country's strong economic growth, the DIAN tax agency said on Monday.
The 60.32 trillion peso figure for last year was 2.6 trillion pesos above the government's target for the year, DIAN director Oscar Franco told reporters.
In 2006, tax returns were 52.6 trillion pesos. The local peso was trading at 1,985.35 to the dollar on Monday morning.
Colombia is enjoying its strongest economic growth in three decades as improving security attracts a flow of foreign investment and domestic demand soars. The economy grew 7.35 percent in the first nine months of last year. (Reporting by Monica Garcia; Editing by Andrea Ricci)
