Japan Jan wage earnings revised to 1.6 pct rise

 TOKYO, March 17 (Reuters) - Japanese wage earners' total cash
earnings increased 1.6 percent in January from a year earlier,
revised government data showed on Monday, suggesting that wage
inflation is slowly picking up. [JPOVRT=ECI]
 Cash earnings totaled 282,082 yen ($2,938).
 The initial reading reported last month showed a 1.0 percent
increase.
 The increase in total cash earnings -- which include overtime
pay, monthly wages and special payments -- followed a 1.7 percent
fall in December.
 The following table shows revised data on January monthly
income, with year-on-year percentage changes:
