BOJ's Shirakawa, Nishimura to brief at 0900 GMT
TOKYO, March 21 (Reuters) - The Bank of Japan's acting governor, Masaaki Shirakawa, and Deputy Governor Kiyohiko Nishimura will hold a news conference at 6:00 p.m. (0900 GMT) on Friday, the central bank said.
Shirakawa, also a new deputy governor, has been appointed acting governor until parliament approves a new BOJ chief.
The BOJ governor's chair has been left vacant after parliament vetoed two government nominees for the job. (Reporting by Hideyuki Sano; Editing by Hugh Lawson)
