Japan Oct wage earnings revised down to -0.1 pct

 TOKYO, Dec 17 (Reuters) - Japanese wage earners' total cash
earnings fell 0.1 percent in October from a year earlier, revised
government data showed on Monday, underscoring a lack of
inflationary pressures from wages in Japan.
 Total cash earnings totaled 275,294 yen ($2,429).
 An initial reading reported earlier this month showed a flat
figure.
 The slight decline in total cash earnings, which include
overtime pay, monthly wages and special payments, came after a
0.6 percent fall in September.
 Many Japanese companies, mindful of the pain of business
restructuring over the past decade, have been reluctant
to increase wages.
 The following table shows revised data on October monthly
income, with year-on-year percentage changes:
