TOKYO, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Japan's official foreign reserves amounted to $945.601 billion at the end of September, up from $932.157 billion at the end of August, the Ministry of Finance said on Friday.

The data is consistent with the IMF's Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS), which was established in 1996 to promote increased transparency by providing guidance on the dissemination of economic and financial data for countries that have or may seek access to international capital markets.
