Japan April service sector index falls to 35.5
TOKYO, May 12 (Reuters) - A survey of Japanese service sector workers, called "economy watchers" for their proximity to consumer and retail trends, produced an index of 35.5 in April, the Cabinet Office said on Monday.
That was down from 36.9 in March and marked the first decline in three months.
The outlook index, indicating the level of confidence in future conditions, was 36.1 in April compared with 38.2 in March. (Reporting by Yuzo Saeki; Editing by Chris Gallagher)
