TABLE-Japan investors hefty foreign bond buyers last week

 TOKYO, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Japanese investors purchased a net
1.2801 trillion yen ($11 billion) of foreign bonds in the week
ending Sept. 29, data released by Japan's Ministry of Finance
showed on Thursday.
 Details of net investments were as follows (in billion yen).
  FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN JAPAN: (net)

  Sept 23-29     223.4            -90.1           1101.8
  Sept 16-22    -156.7r         -1160.0           -286.3
  JAPANESE INVESTMENT ABROAD: (a minus sign indicates net selling
and inflow of funds into Japan)

  Sept 23-29      -8.8           1280.1            -36.2
  Sept 16-22     -63.3           1075.6            -10.2
  Note:
 - "r" notes revised figure
 - As of January 2005, the ministry changed its calculation
methods for weekly capital flows to match its balance of payments
figures and previous data are not directly comparable.
 - Bonds include beneficiary certificates.
 - Figures are based on contracts and are rounded.
