Dubai's Emirates says no delays to A380 delivery

DUBAI, Nov 27 (Reuters) - Dubai’s Emirates airline [EMAIR.UL] will take delivery of its fourth Airbus A380 EAD.PA by year-end as planned, its president said on Thursday.

“We have received three already and the fourth is due around Dec. 16,” Emirates President Tim Clark told Reuters on Thursday.

Airbus this month cut its target for 2009 A380 deliveries to 19 from 21 to allow more time for a smooth transition between the first wave of production and a second, more automated, production phase. It has not yet given a target for 2010.

Emirates expects to receive its fifth plane before the end of March 2009, Clark added.

The airline, the biggest customer of the A380, the world’s largest passenger aircraft, received the first of 58 superjumbos in July.
