Spectra unit says Sable Island gas production back

NEW YORK, April 13 (Reuters) - Spectra Energy SE.N unit Maritimes Canada said in a Website posting Monday that natural gas production from the Sable Offshore Energy Project in Nova Scotia had returned to normal.

On April 7 Exxon Mobil (XOM.N) said the production field at the Sable project was shut-in after an “operational incident,” cutting off about 400 million cubic feet per day of gas production.

An Exxon spokesman was not immediately available for comment.

According to the company’s Website, the Sable Project is owned by Exxon, Shell (RDSa.L), Imperial Oil (IMO.TO), Pengrowth Energy Trust (PGH.N) and Mosbacher Operating Ltd. (Reporting by Eileen Moustakis; Editing by John Picinich)
