NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - With the Writers Guild of America strike in its third day, picketers on Wednesday set up a line at Chelsea Piers on Manhattan's West Side.

At least 200 scribes and supporters walked the line near the studios where NBC's "Law & Order" is filmed to the sound of supportive car honks.

For several picketers, including "Saturday Night Live" cast member and SAG member Seth Meyers, it was their second day on the line. Also joining the pickets were "Law & Order" franchise stalwarts Sam Waterston and Richard Belzer.

Although there isn't the foot traffic of Rockefeller Center, the guild's first target on Monday in New York, Chelsea Piers was better attended than Tuesday's at Silvercup Studios in Queens.

"We're back in Manhattan and as a result we have more people," WGA East president Michael Winship said.

The union said a number of New York-based actors including Susan Sarandon, Meg Ryan, David Hyde Pierce and writer Nora Ephron would picket the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle on Thursday.
