NEW YORK (Billboard) - Courtney Love has taken to her MySpace blog to describe as "nonsense!" an online report that she has scrapped work on her second solo album.

Instead, Love said the Linda Perry-produced set will be turned in to the latter's Custard label by mid-July.

"No 'scrapping' is going on, simply a few retakes, especially since all those recordings were leaked to the Net," Love wrote.

"Don't assume you know any songs on this album," she added. "Some may sound somewhat familiar or even have the same titles and arrangements. A few are just precious diamonds I wouldn't touch, but there's TONS of NEW ones which you haven't a clue about."

Love added she was "playing" with former Faith No More member Roddy Bottum and Stuart Fisher, but did not elaborate in what capacity.

Her previous album, "America's Sweetheart," came out in 2004. It marked her first album away from her band Hole.
