DETROIT (Reuters) - Chrysler LLC is "absolutely" on track to add an electric car to its U.S. product line-up in 2010 and is considering launching the vehicle in other markets, head of Chrysler's electric vehicle group said on Sunday.

"The first vehicle will be for the U.S.," said Lou Rhodes, President of Chrysler's ENVI group that focuses on development of electric vehicles.

Rhodes said the launch will be followed by three additional models in production by 2013.

"That is our plan," he said.

Chrysler introduced three electric vehicle concepts -- Chrysler 200C EV sedan, Jeep Patriot EV and Dodge Circuit EV sports car -- at the North American International Auto Show on Sunday. The automaker has not yet revealed what type of electric vehicle it would be launch in 2010.

Rhodes, who declined to say if any of the concept vehicles would be converted to production models, said the goal was to launch the electric vehicles in fairly low volumes and then ramp up production.

Chrysler is considering both Europe and Asian markets for it electric vehicles, he said.
