SALLIE MAE (SLM.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz)
The student lender named Timothy Kitt, who most recently managed Wells Fargo & Co's (WFC.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) asset-backed group responsible for mortgage and student loan product trading, as senior vice president, corporate finance. It also named Jim Truitt and Harry Zunino as senior vice president and chief compliance officer and vice president of compliance, respectively. Truitt most recently had risk management responsibility for global consumer and small business banking at Bank of America Corp (BAC.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), while Zunino most recently had compliance oversight for Bank of America's consumer real estate fulfillment and practice solutions business lines.
MKP CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
The diversified alternative asset manager hired Jason Bonanca, formerly a senior member of Credit Suisse's (CSGN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) fx research and strategy team, as a director and senior economic adviser focused on global fixed income and foreign exchange opportunities. It also hired Steven Gordon, formerly a managing director responsible for commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) credit trading at Bear Stearns, as managing director and portfolio manager leading its efforts in CMBS. Finally, MKP hired Richard Lightburn, who managed HSBC Securities' prime mortgage trading business, as a managing director and portfolio manager leading its relative value trading opportunities in liquid mortgage securities like those backed by government-backed mortgage agencies Freddie Mac (FRE.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) and Fannie Mae (FNM.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz).
UNICREDIT (CRDI.MI: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz)
The Italian bank said it appointed Alicja Kornasiewicz as head of the newly established "Emerging Europe" area of the Markets & Investment Banking Division.
She joined UniCredit CAIB (former Creditanstalt Investment Banking) in October 2000. Prior to that she served as Secretary of State in the Ministry of the Treasury of Poland (1997 to 2000). Continued...
