Turkey military confirms bombed PKK targets in Iraq

ANKARA, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Turkey's military said that its warplanes bombed Kurdish guerrilla targets in northern Iraq on Tuesday, confirming a report from an Iraqi Kurdish official.

The official armed forces Web site said its planes had returned safely to base after a successful operation. It did not give any details on any damage or casualties caused by the bombing. (Reporting by Daren Butler; Editing by Charles Dick)
