LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jeffrey Dean Morgan will join Kirsten Dunst and Ryan Gosling in "All Good Things," a love story and murder mystery set in 1980s New York.

Gosling plays the scion of a real estate dynasty who falls for a beautiful girl (Dunst) from the wrong side of the tracks. Morgan will play a down-and-out detective who tries to uncover the truth behind her disappearance.

Production begins this month in Connecticut. Andrew Jarecki ("Capturing the Friedmans") will direct from a script he wrote with Marcus Hinchey and Marc Smerling.

Morgan co-starred opposite Hilary Swank in "P.S. I Love You" and also played Denny Duquette on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy."
