Ricci to star in "Long Time Gone"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Former "Las Vegas" actress Molly Sims has joined the cast of the indie drama "Hickory Nation."

The film follows the aftermath of a mysterious hit-and-run accident in a small Maine coastal community. The event brings together a teacher (Sims) and her two students, each struggling with secrets and lies. Rebecca Cook will direct from her own script.

CANNES (Hollywood Reporter) - Christina Ricci will star in the drama "Long Time Gone," playing a mysterious woman who enters the life of a dysfunctional family and turns it upside down, one member at a time.

Anjelica Huston, Josh Lucas and Justin Bartha also star. Adam Davidson will direct the GreeneStreet Films project from an adaptation of April Stevens' 1994 debut novel "Angel Angel." Davidson won an Oscar for his 1989 short "The Lunch Date."

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who starred opposite Bruce Willis in "Live Free or Die Hard," is in negotiations to take on "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World."

In Universal's adventure romance, she will play the dream woman of a young slacker (Michael Cera). But the only way he can win her heart is by battling and defeating her seven evil ex-boyfriends. Edgar Wright is directing.

The project is based on the Oni Press graphic novel "Scott Pilgrim Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life," written by Bryan Lee O'Malley.
