Next step for Nealon is "Upstairs"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Kevin Nealon has joined the cast of Fox's adventure comedy "They Came From Upstairs," starring Ashley Tisdale.

"Upstairs" revolves around a group of teens who join forces to defend their Maine vacation home from an alien invasion.

Nealon will play Tisdale's dad, Stuart Pearson. Gillian Vigman has already been cast as the mom.

A former "Saturday Night Live" regular, Nealon plays Doug Wilson on Showtime's "Weeds," which is starting preproduction on its fourth season after series producer Lionsgate TV signed an interim agreement with the striking Writers Guild of America.

His upcoming features include "Remarkable Power" and "You Don't Mess With the Zohan."
