LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jon Amiel will direct a comedy with the working title "Old Timers," a project based on a play in which two retired hitmen enjoy a night living it up before one of them faces a deadly decision.

The filmmakers are out to talent and hope to begin filming by year's end. It is being produced by Sidney Kimmel Entertainment. The play was written by Noah Haidle.

Amiel has "Creation," a Charles Darwin romance starring Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany, in the can. The director, whose feature credits include "Entrapment" and "The Man Who Knew Too Little," has most recently been shooting episodes of Showtime's "The Tudors."
