LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - James Marsh, the English director of the Oscar-winning documentary "Man on Wire," is jumping into the genre feature world with "The Vatican Tapes," a supernatural thriller.

The Lionsgate/Lakeshore project centers on a series of events that unfold after a tape gets leaked from the Vatican displaying an exorcism that goes wrong.

"Wire on Wire," which told the story of Philippe Petit and his walk between New York's Twin Towers, won the Oscar for best documentary this year. Marsh dipped his toes into feature waters with the 2005 drama "The King," which starred Gael Garcia Bernal.
