UBS said Marc Grasso will join as a managing director for
health care investment banking. Grasso will report to Robert
DiGia, global head of healthcare banking, and focus on serving
clients in the biotechnology field. He was most recently head
of West Coast investment banking at Leerink Swann.
GREENHILL & CO (GHL.N)
Greenhill said Bill Thompson, Fredrik Elwing, Walter
Stackler and Pamela Wright will join as managing directors. The
four have been the senior members of the Real Estate Private
Fund Group at Credit Suisse, and will focus on building a real
estate placement advisory business at Greenhill.
MERRILL LYNCH (BAC.N)
Merrill Lynch said it hired Daniel Honan, a 24-year
brokerage veteran, from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
LAZARD LTD (LAZ.N)
Lazard CFO Michael Castellano will retire in April 2011 and
will be succeeded by Matthieu Bucaille, deputy CEO of Lazard

STANDARD CHARTERED (STAN.L)
The UK bank named V. Shankar as chief executive for the
Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Europe, where he will
focus on governance and try to grow the lender's business. He
is currently executive chairman of the bank's principal finance
unit and co-chairman of the private banking division.
GUY CARPENTER & CO, LLC
The reinsurance broker named Victoria Carter as vice
chairman of Guy Carpenter International. Carter joins from
Towers Watson and Co TW.N.
