GREENHILL & CO (GHL.N)
The investment bank has hired Yasuyuki "Yaz" Miyoshi to as a managing director based in Tokyo. He will advise Japanese companies on mergers, acquisitions and restructurings. Miyoshi was one of the founding partners of The Longreach Group, a Japanese private equity fund.
JPMORGAN CHASE & CO (JPM.N)
The bank has hired Jack Stephenson as director of mobile, e-commerce and payments. He will lead the implementation of a strategy for mobile devices and Internet payments. Stephenson was previously a senior vice president at PayPal, a subsidiary of eBay (EBAY.O).
CITIGROUP INC (C.N)
Citi Private Bank has hired John McGuinness III to join its New York office as a managing director. He will be an ultra high net worth private banker reporting to Leslie Bains. McGuinness comes from U.S. Trust, Bank of America (BAC.N) private wealth management.
MORGAN JOSEPH & CO INC
The mid-market investment bank has hired senior bankers Jill Steier and Jennifer Meyers to join its healthcare investment banking group in New York City. Steier joins as a managing director and Meyers joins as a director.
Steier comes from boutique firm Emerging Growth Equities. Meyers comes from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAC.N).
The investment bank said Marc Katz will join Lazard (LAZ.N) as managing director in the global telecommunications, media and technology group. Katz will be based in New York and joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAC.N).
Putnam, a division of Power Financial (PWF.TO), has created several new mutual funds and reorganized others.
James Polk will manage its new Multi-Cap Value Fund, previously its Mid-Cap Value Fund. Gerard Sullivan will manage its new Multi-Cap Core Fund in addition to its Investors Fund. Robert Brookby will manage its new Multi-Cap Growth Fund, formerly the New Opportunities Fund.
The Swiss bank has hired Jerome Peltier as co-head of the investment banking division for France. He will work alongside Charles-Henri Le-Bret. Peltier joins UBS UBSN.VX (UBS.N) from Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE).
A part of Royal Bank of Canada (RY.TO) (RY.N) hired Tracy Maeter as head of investments, British Isles. Maeter will be based in London and will be responsible for oversight of RBC Wealth Management's discretionary and advisory investments platforms in the British Isles.
The Swiss bank said Eric Zhang will join Credit Suisse as managing director, metals and mining and industrials coverage, Greater China.
Zhang, who will join in July, comes from UBS AG UBSN.VX (UBS.N), the Swiss investment bank, where he was the chief representative of UBS Securities' Shanghai office.
KUWAIT FINANCE AND INVESTMENT CO (KFSK.KW)
Kuwait Finance and Investment Co said its chief executive, Sana Alladin Goma, has resigned. [ID:nLDE65D13P]
The alternative investment boutique hired Tim West as its new deputy chief executive.
He joins from Babcock and Brown, where he was head of the London office and chief operating officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The independent asset manager said John Bennett will be joining the company from JPMorgan Asset Management to lead its UK intermediary marketing efforts.
The international investment management firm appointed Andrew Benton as head of UK & International Institutional Sales and Business Development, effective immediately.
Andrew is based in London and reports to George Harvey, head of sales, business development & client service.
An insurer for renewable energy power production facilities appointed Tim Kinsella as senior vice president, effective immediately.
He will work out of the GCube East Coast office in New York City.
