THINKEQUITY
ThinkEquity Partners LLC said on Monday that Michael Philipps, previously head of institutional brokerage and Ladenburg Thalmann, has joined as a senior sales trader and partner in the institutional brokerage group.
PTARMIGAN CAPITAL
The alternative asset manager named Arvind Bajaj as a princiapl. Bajaj previously worked at Credit Suisse in positions including head of European commercial mortgage-backed security origination, and head of Middle East real estate. Bajaj will focus on Ptarmigan's global real estate products, including investments in southern India.
BARCLAYS GLOBAL INVESTORS
Sue Thompson, head of the national full service broker/dealer sales team for Vanguard financial advisor services, has joined Barclays Global Investors as national sales manager for the registered investment advisor team for the U.S. iShares business. Barclays Global Investors is a unit of Barclays Plc. (BARC.L)
CITIGROUP (C.N)
Citi Global Wealth Management named Deepak Sharma chief executive officer of Citi Global Wealth Management International, overseeing all its wealth management business outside the United States. Sharma, who will continue to be based in Singapore, was responsible for Asia Pacific and Middle East regions and that has now been extended to Europe and Latin America.
