NEW YORK, May 22 (Reuters) - Jack Rivkin, chief investment officer and head of private asset management at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc's (LEH.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) Neuberger Berman LLC, is retiring in mid-July, according to a letter sent to clients.

Bob Corman, head of research and fund manager at Neuberger, will become chief investment officer for the institutional and mutual funds business. Corman will continue in his current responsibilities.

Alison Deans, deputy head of private asset management, will become head of private asset management and CIO for that business.

Rivkin, 67, started his career in 1968 and had been chief financial officer at PaineWebber and worked at Citigroup Investments before joining Neuberger Berman in 2002.

Rivkin will remain on Neuberger Berman's mutual fund board, and will become a consultant to Lehman's Council on Climate Change.
