Gold jumps over 2 pct on oil, Hamas-Israel violence
SINGAPORE, Dec 29 (Reuters) - Gold rose more than 2 percent to its strongest since early October on Monday, as oil gained on fears of supply disruptions after violence flared between Israel and Hamas.
By 0025 GMT, gold XAU= was trading at $887.95 an ounce, up $21.15 from New York's notional close, having hit an intraday high of $889.00 on Monday on safe-haven buying. (Reporting by Lewa Pardomuan; Editing by Anshuman Daga)
