Ipsen, Medicis submit botox product to FDA
PARIS, March 17 (Reuters) - French pharmaceutical group Ipsen (IPN.PA) and its U.S. partner Medicis (MRX.N) said on Monday they had submitted an application for a botox product to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
"Medicis and Ipsen today announced that Ipsen has submitted a Biologics License Application ("BLA") for the botulinum toxin type A, Reloxin(R)(1), in aesthetic indications (glabellar lines) to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration's division of dermatology and dental products," the companies said in a joint statement.
Ipsen shares closed at 38.25 euros on Friday while Medicis shares closed at $19.20. (Reporting by Sudip Kar-Gupta; Editing by Quentin Bryar)
