Ipsen wins positive EU panel view on drug Increlex
PARIS, May 25 (Reuters) - French drugmaker Ipsen (IPN.PA) said on Friday it had won a positive opinion from the European Union's health expert panel for Increlex, which treats growth failure in children and adolescents.
If the drug wins the approval of the European Union health authority, the European Medicines Agency (EMEA), it will be marketed in the region with the help of Tercica TRCA.O.
Ipsen had filed Increlex for EU marketing authorisation in December 2005.
Increlex aims to treat growth failure in children and adolescents with severe primary insulin-like growth factor-1 deficiency and in children with growth hormone gene deletion who have developed neutralising antibodies to growth hormone.
