Novartis says US grants extra Diovan exclusivity
ZURICH, Aug 10 (Reuters) - U.S. regulators have given Novartis (NOVN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) an extra six months marketing exclusivity for the Swiss company's Diovan blood pressure drug in pediatric indications.
The move extends marketing exclusivity from March 2012 to September, Novartis said in a statement.
Novartis said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's priority review of Diovan in children and adolescents was expected to be completed by the end of 2007.
