MUMBAI, July 30 (Reuters) - India's Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. (RANB.BO) said on Monday it had launched its first authorised generic drug, Isoptin SR, in the U.S. market, after an agreement with FSC Laboratories.

Isoptin SR is a branded drug used to treat hypertension and the market for its generic form was worth $122.2 million, Ranbaxy, India's largest drug maker by sales, said in a statement.

It said the drug faced limited competition, mainly from two firms. Ranbaxy's shares closed 0.5 percent higher at 376.70 rupees in a flat Mumbai market.
