Caraco Pharmaceutical gets FDA nod to market generic Adipex-P

Aug 22 (Reuters) - Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories Ltd (CPD.A: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said U.S. health regulators granted final approval for its generic version of Teva Pharmaceutical USA Inc's Adipex-P, which treats obesity. Phentermine HCl generic and brand products had combined annual sales of about $34 million for the twelve months ended June 2007, Caraco said, citing data tracking company IMS Health.

Teva Pharmaceutical USA Inc. is a unit of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TEVA.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz).
