March 12 (Reuters) - Biogen Idec Inc. (BIIB.O) and PDL BioPharma Inc. (PDLI.O) said the ongoing mid-stage trial of daclizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody, met its main goal in relapsing multiple sclerosis .

In a statement, the companies said the anti-IL-2 receptor antibody significantly reduced the number of new or enlarged lesions compared to the dummy drug.
