Lilly gets FDA nod on new uses for osteoporosis drug

CHICAGO, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Eli Lilly & Co. (LLY.N) said on Friday U.S. health regulators approved its osteoporosis drug for a new use to reduce the risk of invasive breast cancer in post-menopausal women with osteoporosis and post-menopausal women at high risk for invasive breast cancer.

The drug, known as Evista, is already approved for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in post-menopausal women.
