Mylan gets FDA OK for generic Metaglip

April 13 (Reuters) - Mylan Laboratories Inc. MYL.N said its Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. unit received U.S. regulatory approval for its generic version of Bristol-Myers Squibb's (BMY.N) diabetes drug Metaglip.

Mylan got marketing approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for Glipizide and Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets in 2.5 mg/250 mg, 2.5 mg/500 mg and 5 mg/500 mg strengths. The product will be shipped immediately, the company said in a statement.
