HK blue chips rebound 1.5 pct, PetroChina jumps

 HONG KONG, Feb 12 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks rose on
Tuesday, a day after suffering steep losses, as Wall Street gains
boosted investor confidence, driving up shares across the board
and with PetroChina Co Ltd (0857.HK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) among the top blue chip
gainers.
 The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI opened at 22,953.78.
