HSBC lifts HK blue chips, resource plays jump

 HONG KONG, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks rose across
the board on Wednesday, boosted by advancing global equities, as
heavyweight HSBC Holdings plc (0005.HK) furthered its gains after
upbeat results by Asia-focused bank Standard Chartered (2888.HK).
 Oil plays and other resource shares also shot up amid a
strong rally in commodities, pushing the China Enterprises Index
of Hong Kong-listed mainland companies .HSCE, or H shares, up
2.2 percent by 0202 GMT.
 The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI opened up 1.9 percent at
24,161.19.
