HK shares rise 1 pct on US market gains, China Mobile
HONG KONG, April 1 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks opened up over 1 percent on Tuesday, buoyed by heavyweight China Mobile (0941.HK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) and tracking Wall Street gains a day after the index closed its worst quarter in six years.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI opened at 23,084.93. The China Enterprises Index of Hong Kong-listed mainland companies .HSCE, or H shares, was up 1 percent at 12,205.25 at 0202 GMT.
Shares in China Mobile gained over 1 percent to HK$117.10.
