HK stocks fall 0.3 pct as investors book profits

HONG KONG, April 8 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks dropped 0.29 percent on Tuesday, led by financial and property stocks, as investors locked in profits a day after the benchmark index hit a five-week closing high.

The Hang Seng Index .HSI opened at 24,507.07. The China Enterprises Index of Hong Kong-listed mainland companies .HSCE, or H shares, was down 0.51 percent at 13,349.04 as of 0202 GMT. (US$1=HK$7.8) (Reporting by Judy Hua; Editing by Anne Marie Roantree)
