HK stocks rise 1.05 percent, financial plays up
HONG KONG, April 11 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks rose 1.05 percent on Friday, tracking gains in the overseas markets, with China Construction Bank (0939.HK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) leading the rise as investors expect it to post strong earnings later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index .HSI opened at 24,442.27. The China Enterprises Index of Hong Kong-listed mainland companies .HSCE, or H shares, was up 1.5 percent at 13,193.67 as of 0202 GMT. (US$1=HK$7.8) (Reporting by Judy Hua; Editing by Anne Marie Roantree)
