HK stocks rise 2 pct, Li & Fung, China Overseas up
HONG KONG, April 17 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks opened higher on Thursday, tracking gains in regional stock markets after JPMorgan (JPM.N), IBM (IBM.N) and other U.S. blue chips announced positive results.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index was up 2.06 percent at 24,369.86 on Thursday, with retailer Li & Fung (0494.HK) and mainland property firm China Overseas (0688.HK) leading the blue-chip rally.
The China Enterprises Index of Hong Kong-listed mainland companies, or H shares, opened up 2.76 percent at 12,941.26. (Reporting by Alison Leung; Editing by Anne Marie Roantree)
