HK stocks rise 2 pct, Li & Fung, China Overseas up

 HONG KONG, April 17 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks opened
higher on Thursday, tracking gains in regional stock markets
after JPMorgan (JPM.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), IBM (IBM.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) and other U.S. blue chips
announced positive results.
 The benchmark Hang Seng Index was up 2.06 percent at
24,369.86 on Thursday, with retailer Li & Fung (0494.HK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) and
mainland property firm China Overseas (0688.HK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) leading the
blue-chip rally.
 The China Enterprises Index of Hong Kong-listed mainland
companies, or H shares, opened up 2.76 percent at 12,941.26.
