HK stocks fall, China Mobile, China COSCO down

HONG KONG, May 21 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks fell 1.4 percent on Wednesday, tracking weak overseas shares, with heavyweight China Mobile (0941.HK) leading the slide and shipping conglomerate China COSCO (1919.HK) falling after a downgrade.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI opened down 1.36 percent at 24,828.04. The China Enterprises Index of Hong Kong-listed companies .HSCE, or H shares, had dropped 1.67 percent by 0205 GMT. (Reporting by Alison Leung; Editing by Anne Marie Roantree)
